John Datiles
I was raised in the Bay Area, attended school in Napa, and graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Civil Engineering. My wife and I met at a cafe in college, where she worked as a barista and I studied. After some time, we both moved to O'ahu. I proposed atop Haleakala at sunrise and we got married in Makawao. We later moved to Maui to be closer to family and have two sons. My career has included work at the California Department of Transportation, Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, and the Hawai'i Department of Land and Natural Resources. I currently work for the Maui County Department of Public Works. I'm a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.), registered in both California and Hawai'i. I ride a '18 Honda Rebel. Motorcycling is meditation.
